We are anchoring in front of Nalunega, San Blas. Visited the Centro de Salud and found very good medical service by the doctor to sort smaller health problems of 2 crew members onboard. Luis will fly tomorrow morning to Panama City to organize next trip on Monday. Wahiba, Brischitte and me came on last trip back to Panama again, where we need to leave Stahlratte for quite a while finally on Sunday. After a further visit with the doctor we gonna sail to another proposed beautifull island among hundreds of them - called Chichime. We are enjoying the currently very relaxed athmosphere onboard and will be back at Porvenir on Saturday preparing the vessel for next' weeks departure to Cartagena. Tom

we are anchored in front of nalunega island in san blas. did the paperwork after sailing here from coco bandero this morning and visited the kuna village nalunega. now its dinner time and then there vis a film in the board-cinema. tomorrow the jeeps are waiting for us in carti to bring us through the djungle to panama city. luis

this morning at 6 am we dropped the anchor in coco bandero cays in san blas after a night with drizzle rain and motoring because of no wind at all. the first people are in the coralreefs for snorkeling allready and this afternoon we have a BBQ on the beach. hasta .....L

TODAY WE LEFT THE ANCHORAGE OF CARTAGENA BAY AT 3 PM AND NOW WE ARE SAILING WITH 4 KNOTS AND CALM SEA TOWARDS SAN BLAS. IN TOTAL WE ARE 16 PERS ON BOARD AND IT SEEMS THAT IT IS GOING TO BE A NICE AND QUITE TRIP. SALUD....luis

this afternoon at 18oo hours the anchor went down to the ground in cartagena bay in front of club nautico/manga. the trip was absolutely quite motorsailing all the time. one little shower yesterday night otherwise sunshine and relax! hasta entonces...Ludo

we are still in our favorit place in coco bandero cays and are looking forward to get a nice dinner in about a hour after spending a great day snorkeling around and drifting around with the floating bar. a real good "water lime" as the trini people would say! tomorrow morning we lift up anchor and take course to cartagena. L

this morning at 0400 hours we started our offroadtour from panmama-city to carti in san blas. the way was dry because no rain for the last 5 days there, so we went thruogh this time without any stops and adventures. but we saw a beautifull sunrise in the san blas djungle and beautifull views over the archipielago from the top of the mountains. boarded STAHLRATTE at 0900 hours, went to porvenir where the kuna ladies made market on upperdeck and at noon time we took off to sail to coco bandero cays. the weather is great and we drop anchor in one hour and the plan is to launch the floating bar for a sundowner in the turqoise waters for sunset....cheers...L

so now we have decided to sail on monday even we still have a lot of space. we hope that there is some more people calling untill tomorrow night to complete our crew!!!!! in panama city its raining since yesterday evening but in san blas there is nice sunny weather. so people please call me on my cellphone in panama city 65366032 (i am in zulys hostal) hasta la vista....ludovico

what happend to the backpackers???? we cant find enough people to go to cartagena now, so we had to change the departure to monday and hope something will change. i hope that not everybody will sit in front of the screen the next weeks to follow the football. here we are waiting for the next trip through the paradise!!!!!! hasta pronto....luisito

we had a nice trip down to panama/san blas from cartagena. the winds were light but we sailt nearly all the way without using the motor. on saturday after doing the paperwork in porvenir we went to carti where 3 jeeps waited for us to bring us through the djungle to panama. that was a real adventure hardcore trip compared to the last time when it took only 3,5 hours and everybody said: wow what a road!!! it took us only 6 hours to get through the first 20 kilometers, allways using the winches to get the cars out of the mudholes. we arrived really exausted to panama city. and here i am now looking for new people for the next trip to cartagena on friday. i hope that there are a few people that are not interested in football and keep on travelling these days. ludwig
