last tour was coool people and cooool motorcycles on board!!! the weather in the
san blas islands was not the best but if you are in paradise you even enjoy a
rainy day and spend it in the water snorkeling and playing watergames. but it was
not only bad! the sailing was calm but some of the guests became seasick
(landlubbers!!!) and during the night sailing we went through a thunderstorm wich
was incredible massive rainfalls and endless lightnings so sometimes sky was
lightened for a couple of minutes. cartagena is hot hot hot..... unloading the
huge harley davidson of 400kg of weight was easier then it looked before and dan
is really happy to hav it made this way;-)
we start with our long list with maintenance works today.

we are on tour in san blas coco bandero withb a new group backpackers having a lot of fun.
xesterday BBQ in isla moron and today its grey and rainy but we spent the whole morning
swimming in the warm see while the cold rain cooled our heads. tonight big seafood dinner
and tomorrow we are leaving san blas with course cartagena.

wea are sailing.finally! after spending time in coco banderas we went to cartiyesterday. we were visiting the kuna yala for a short time and spent the rest of theday reading, cleaning things up or just sleeping. this morning two crewmembers leftfor visiting panama city for some shopping. later today we arrived in porvenir to fillup the gas tank. this took hours as we got more than 1000 gallons. when sailing toporvenir we had some very nice company: dolphins. they joined us for for some time andit was amazing.jetzt sind wir nur noch zu dritt auf der stahlratte und es geht etwas ruhiger zu,abgesehen von einer ewigkeit dauernden dieselbunker aktion. wetter ist durchwachsenaber sehr warm und eigentlich sehr angenehm. ab und an ein kleiner schauer der schoenabkuehlt...uns geht es allen sehr gut und ich sage wieder einen schoenen gruß an meine family vonhier aus. alles bestens hier, ich hoffe bei euch auch.lieben gruß, gregor

finally we are back in coco banderas. after celebrating a "grande fiesta" in rio azucar we are back in paradise. in rio a zucar we joined a huge party which iscelebrated once a year by the black people from all around the area. we had a lotof fun and the girls....what can i say. the kuna host the party and everybody waskinda wasted..we had a good and healthy breakfast this morning and the captain set course tococo banderas.a few boats are here now and a nice german couple with their babyspentsome time on the stahlratte and we had some delicious fresh baked hot cinnamonrolls. four of us decided to go spearfishing and it was a perfect timing. ataround1645 the reefs are just crowded with fish of all sizes. and belive it or not: ishot a great big parrotfish. about 70cm in size and app. 8 kg. cutting the filetwassome work but tommorrow we will have a great bbq with fish and lobsters..es geht allen sehr gut und wir freuen uns alle nach der anstrengenden partynachthier zu relaxen. das wetter ist etwas durchwachsen, letzte nacht gab es gegen 4nochein gewitter mit extremem niederschlag. temperatur ist sehr warm und feucht aberdas wasser ist ein traum und bietet ein wenig abkuehlung. ich gruesse meine familyvon hier aus und hoffe es geht euch allen ebenso gut wie mir hier auf derstahlratte. morgen wieder mehr, gregor.

this is another log entry by me,gregor. imagine the best place you have ever been andmultiply it by hundred and you wont even get close to what it is like to be here. cocobanderos is truly a pearl amongst pearls and hardly to describe. a few small islands withthe clearest water i have ever seen. water temperature is about 28 celsius and its justfantastic. after we decided to sail here we had to motor the last few miles. evererybodylaid back and it was just relaxing time. ludwig and i decided to go spearfishing at theouter riff and i can say it was such a thrill: its just beautiful and i guess even jackcustou would have been amazed. we hunted between lemon sharks which are about 3 meters andi can still feel my heart bumping. ITS AWESOME DUDE!!!i caught one and lulu caught four (he is such a good killer!).we will have lots of fishtomorrow as we will have filet mignon today.(as much as you can eat!!)rolli has beenworking alot on the lights for the machine room and they look very professional.he is anallround talent i guess. boris and carmen are preparing the fish for tomorrow and lulu iscuting lots of beef. i am not sure if you can top this day. I RECOMMEND THIS TOEVERYBODY!!!und auf deutsch: einfach nur FAN-TAS-TISCH!! inmitten von haien auf die jagt nach 60-70 cmgroßen brummern zu gehen ist schon was ganz besonderes. ich hab leider nur nen kleinenpapageien fisch geschossen aber aller anfang ist schwer. stimmung ist hervorragend und zumabendessen gibts jetzt erstmal rinderfilet satt! schoenen gruss an alle und natuerlichganz besonders von mir an meine family!!!bis morgen, gregor

well, after i (ludwigs cousin gregor) arrived yesterday i can only say i am speechless. this place is just beautiful and such a thrill. we unloaded all the backpackers in carti this morning so its only the crew and me on board. after we cleaned everything up we visited the kunas for shopping food and batteries. they are wonderful and proud people and the girls are very cute. ;-) we were sailing for a while until we decided to motor to isla moron.me and ludwig tried to spearfish dinner but lulu only caught a small one. it is pretty relaxed right now and we are preparing dinner together. the crew is very very nice and professionaland we are having lots of fun. weather is a bit cloudy but its warm and still anamazing place.big kisses and hugs to my mother and brothers and friends who couldnt come join me. i love you all!! tomorrow we will sail to coco banderos again which is the paradise on earth.more tomorrow,gregorund auf deutsch:es ist einfach fantastisch. das schiff, die crew, das wasser, die inseln....erholungpur. ich habe die ehre mal hier in das logbuch zu schreiben und nutze die moeglichkeitmal meine lieben zu hause zu gruessen.es ist toll hier und die organisation klappt vonanfang an reibungslos. nachdem jetzt alle gaeste von bord sind ist nur noch die crewund ich an bord. alles ist sehr entspannt aber sehr professionell und interessant.also mama, mach dir keine sorgen. bis jetzt hab ich noch keine inselprinzessingefunden aber ich bin erst seit 30 stunden da. mal sehen..... ;-)) also bis bald, schoenen gruss auch von ludwig

yeaaaah we are in f...ckin paradise...its unbelievable after more than 3 and a half years its still such a great place here and so we do enjoy as much as we can...today spent some hours on the floating bar drifting alongside "steelrat" and snorkeling around isla moron. We left coco bandero this morning after getting a big knot undone wich we got into our two ancorchaines. had to dive down and undo it...hercules work!!! weather is great, maybe a little bit too hot so beer consumption rised to 30 cans per person (joke!!!):-) cheers and saludos, cara palida ps: we are the motorcycle transport specialists here between panama and colombia!

we spent a hard working week in cartagena and now we are heading back to san blas with a small group of people. we are 12 on board and will reach san blas this afternoon for the beach BBQ. sea is very calm because of no wind at all, so 100% motoring....

yesterday we arrived in cartagena in the early afternoon and after immigration all guests went off the ship to the hostels. the tour was a bit bumpy and for some of the people reason to be seasick, especially for those who had party the night before. so fishes were well feeded during this journey..he he he!!! now we are returning to our normal maintenance works here in cartagena. the very long and never ending working list is on the table and will not leave us in peace for the next days.

we are in coco bandero cays in san blas and we are 24 souls on board, yesterday we startet a new tour to cartagena. first stop was in narrasgandup dummad with BBQ on the beach. this morning we sailed over to coco and here we will snorkel and swimm and relay today and tomorrow we head for cartagena.
