on anchor in isla mujeres/mexico....next sailing I.MUJERES to PROVIDENCIA 30.MAY
have unloaded the bikes allready, didi all the paperwork and allready repaired
the 2 broken sails (main and staysail had some open sewings)
now we are preparing for the tour down to providencia....just winds do not seem
to be favourable for us if we believe the forecast.....

sails down and running under engine the whole night. so now we are just before
the yucatan straight and a 140nm from isla mujeres. mainsail, squaresail and
flyer are set and a light easterly breeze allow us to head westwards with 2.5
knots.

anchored in CIENFUEGOS/CUBA next sailing cienfuegos to mexico 23rd may
cuba now and stahlratte is on anchor in the bay of cienfuegos and the
crew is doing maintenance works

sailing to CIENFUEGOS....next sailing CIENFUEGOS to I.MUJERES 23rd may
and almost no wind and we are motorsailing against a current of about 1 knot of
speed. averybody is well and relaxing. by tomorrow noontime we will be in
cienfuegos again.

sailing to CIENFUEGOS....next sailing CIENFUEGOS to I.MUJERES 23rd may
strong yucatan current changed our course and made us drift north far off course
so we had to motor all night long to get further south and out of the strong
currents which arrive to have a strenght of up to 4 knots.
now we are getting out of that region and the currents are less and we are
heading to isla de juventud with a speed of 7 knots motorsailing.
